Project Details
Due to the lack of resources and amenities in many rural areas around the world, there are several high-risk communities that don’t have access to proper health care. A potential solution to this problem may reside in telemedicine. For this design project myself and four other students designed a system that allows for the remote transfer of surgical tools for subsequent sterilization in an autoclave. We designed both the container in which the surgical tools will be transferred and the software needed to transfer the container to the autoclave using a remote controllled robotic arm.
